Sunset Point Rental Rules and Guidelines - Check-n time is 2 P.M. Central Time and check-out time is 10 A.M. Central Time.
- This is a NON-SMOKING and DRUG-FREE cottage.
- Pets are NOT permitted without prior permission and an additional pet deposit of $50.00. Additional restrictions for pets include: only one pet less than 30 lbs, pet must be on a leash when outside and the owner is responsible for cleaning up after the pet. Note: Pets are not allowed in all units.
- The maximum number of guests per cottage is limited to six (6) persons. In all cottages there is a full/ queen bed and a full/queen sleep sofa. Cottages with sleeping lofts provide more sleep areas but the guest is responsible for providing their own sleeping bags and air mattresses.
- There will be a $10.00 charge for each lost key.
- Guest are to supply their own towels. Bed linens, kitchen towels are provided. Daily maid service is NOT included in the rental rate.
- Parking is limited to one (1) vehicle at the entrance to the cottage. Additional vehicles, boats, etc. are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is NOT permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/fees is the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. No vehicle shall be permitted on seeded or landscaped areas.
- No refunds will be given for storms.
- There are three (3) docks considered to be communal and are allowed to be used by any and all property owners and guest renters on a first come first serve basis.
- The boardwalk is open to all homeowners and guests to walk, but it is to be understood you are doing so at your own risk. The boardwalk is owned by each individual water front homeowner. Any other uses of the boardwalk such as tying up boats, swimming, etc are the exclusive right of the homeowner (or the renter of the waterfront cabin) who owns the boardwalk in front of their cabin.
- Caution is to be used when swimming and fishing at the communal docks due to the boats docking and taking off. Swimmers are not to block a boater from the dock or boat slips. Swimming around the docks with a lot of boat traffic coming in and out is extremely dangerous.
- All vessels and/or watercrafts tied to communal docks must be removed at time in which his/her visit ends at Sunset Point.
- NO ignition of fireworks will be allowed on the property.
- Quiet hours are from 11 P.M. to 7 A.M. on Saturday, Sunday and Holiday periods and 9 P.M. to 6 A.M. Monday through Friday.
- NO motorized vehicles bicycles, skateboards, etc are allowed on the Boardwalk.
- Under no circumstances will the lampposts be used to tie anything to including but not limited to any and all watercrafts, water toys, etc. In addition, there will be no swinging, hanging, or leaning on the lamppost. Anything found tied will be cut and any damage to the lamppost or to the property will be at the owner’s or renter's expense.
- All of the cottages are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners or Sunset Point Agents are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
- Any damage to the property is to be reported so a Sunset Point Representative immediately
- PAYMENT— An advance deposit of the $100.00 security deposit is required to secure a reservation . An advance deposit of $100.00 security deposit, the cleaning fee and 50% of the total rental charges is required at time of reservation for a weekly or monthly reservation. Cottages can not be held longer than five (5) days without deposit. Total remaining rent charges are due at check-in. Please make payments in the form of Traveler’s Check, Cashiers Check or Personal Check payable to Caldwell Sales, Inc.
- SUBSTITUTIONS for a particular cottage may be necessary prior to check-in due to availability.
