Full Pool is here!!!!! Well, if you consider anything within a foot of 793 being full pool (which I do!) As of Monday April 13, 2009, the water level is 792.78. I check this almost every day and you can too at https://lakes.alabamapower.com/ You can actually check all the lakes Alabama Power controls here. All you have to do to see Lake Wedowee is select Tallapoosa River and then select Harris (cause that is Lake Wedowee's official name). It will show you the current conditions as well as a tenative turbine schedule. You can also scroll down and see a graphic that shows the fluctuations for the year.

Also remember if you are interested in buying or selling real estate on Lake Wedowee, give Leisel and Kelly a call or visit our site at www.ILoveLakeWedowee.com! Now is a great time to buy and you need an agent more than ever to help you through the process!

I just read on Alabama Power's website that Lake Wedowee is starting to fill up. The official word came today "Due to continuing dry conditions, a variance has been approved to fill Harris to summer pool elevation of 793 by April 1st." What this means is that we can start enjoying all our summer activities a full month earlier. Usually, the lake begins to fill on April 1 and reaches full pool by May 1.

In other words, start unpacking your lake gear because summer is coming early this year!!! Hope you all find this news as exciting as we do! To keep up to date on lake conditions visit, https://lakes.alabamapower.com/ (You will have to change Coosa River to Tallapoosa and yes they refer to us as Harris) Or you can click here and look at the graph.
